My Life This Week

I had lunch with a friend today at noon. It was interesting because when we got to the resturant, some of my former co-workers were at the same place. I didn't make eye contact really, but wasn't avoiding either. As my friend and I sat and talked, the group got up to leave when they were finished. Two of the girls avoided me at all costs. The other one gave me a fake smile and said "hello". I don't mind in the least that none of them were "friendly", however, the one who was my supervisor at the end hid her face with her hair and ducked her head to avoid me as she was leaving. Makes me laugh actually! If someone is THAT immature that they can't even say hello in a public place, then I didn't need 'em anyway. Sure, seeing them was kinda uncomfortable to me, but I'm not ever going to be that rude that I can't say hello. Talk about someone needing to work on social skills....lol!
In other news, this week went from flat out sucking to ending up fairly decent. I'm sure "why" exactly, I think a lot of it just had to do with my mood at the time. My child got kicked off the football team earlier in the week. I was so disappointed and kind of angry, but in the grand scheme of things, I suppose there are other things I should be more concerned about. He actually seems to be more at ease with himself again, and I think has enough on his plate at the moment with consequences from this summer, that maybe not finishing the year will prove to be good.
I did spend the week at school "teaching" and I LOVED it!! The first day kinda freaked me out, but after that, it was good. I'm looking forward to having my turn again here in a couple weeks. Who'd thought?????
I also spent some time this week talking to another friend I hadn't seen for awhile. It was nice catching up and getting the "low-down" on her latest gossip....lol.
